Every cup of coffee lights up your day
La Ceiba lights up an entire community
Our coffee is grown on the homeland of the native Mayan Poqomam people in the mountains of Palin, Guatemala. The region where the coffee is grown is called El Chalar. It has three ancient alters set apart as holy sites and has been the home of the Poqomam people for over a thousand years. After hundreds of years the Mayan people have been able to buy back their land to farm.
The coffee grown in El Chalar has the advantage of being grown in rich volcanic soils fed by the ash of two active volcanoes. This volcanic soil lends a special taste to La Caiba coffee that is unique to this region.
